The Sheffield Senators were established in 2010 to bridge the gap between under 18′s hockey and ENL1. The ‘Sens’ as we are affectionately known have a good mix of experience and youth. This season we are actively working alongside the under 18′s and the Spartans to help develop players throughout the club.
As a club Sheffield Ice Hockey Academy now have teams from under 8′s all the the way through to Elite League (Sheffield Steelers). We are the only club in the country to have 2 junior teams from under 12′s through 18′s and a Senior team in each of the 4 recognised divisions (Elite, EPL, ENL1 and ENL2).
The club play out of the country’s premier ice sports facility. iceSheffield opened in 2003 and was purpose built to offer the chance to skate to people of all ages and abilities. The venue has hosted a range of prestigious events including the Ice Dance Championships and dry events such as the National Judo Championships.
